It's the start of the holiday season when Pumpkin Bog wine is released! This semi-sweet blend of South Dakota pumpkin and cranberry graces nearly any feast with ease. Our fourth year for Pumpkin Bog Fest, we're celebrating the return of this wine over a longer span and with MORE activities than ever before!
This year's wine label features a painting by regional artist, Bonnie-Halsey Dutton. Available beginning Oct. 2, you will have your Pumpkin Bog wine in plenty of time to celebrate all the fall festivities!
Decorated pumpkin contest Oct 24-31 ~ Decorate your pumpkin with anything you wish, straw, fruit, candy, paint or even wine bottle parts – be creative. Bring it to the Winery for display and judging. 1st & 2nd place will be selected by guests and the winner announced on Nov 1. Your chances are best the earlier you bring your pumpkin.
Carved pumpkin contest ~ Oct 29 – 31 ~ Wine related carvings are encouraged. Carvings will be displayed at the Winery and judged by guests. 1st & 2nd place winners will be announced on Nov 1. Lighting of the pumpkins Sat. evening Oct. 30, at 6:00 pm.
First place in each category wins a bottle of Pumpkin Bog, 2nd place a box of truffles. Participants must be 21 or older.
Family Fun: Kids activities to be announced.
Live Entertainment: A variety of acts will be playing during the month, including Neo and Tribraco, all the way from Italy on Oct. 3.
Featured Artist: Bonnie Halsey-Dutton, whose artwork is featured on this year's Pumpkin Bog wine label will be joining us on Saturdays. Come meet her and see more of her art!
Harvest-inspired merchandise and gift baskets will be available.
Prairie Berry kitchen samplings include mulled wine, compote, and more!
Prairie Berry’s Kitchen will feature a harvest lunch on the menu.
