We are proud to announce our most recent award-winning wines from the prestigious 2018 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, the largest wine competition of American wines in the world. Six of our entries received awards: Calamity Jane, Raspberry Honeywine, Uncle Ralph’s Rhubarb, Anna Pesä Meritage 2015, Wild Bill, and Lawrence Elk.
Calamity Jane received the highest award in its class with a double gold medal. Named after the rough but gentle spirited Wild West legend, Calamity Jane, this 100% Concord grape wine is soft and not too sweet. Luscious, fresh Concord grape flavors lead to undertones of candied apple and orange zest.
Semi-sweet Uncle Ralph’s Rhubarb captured a silver medal, as did Raspberry Honeywine. Anna Pesä Meritage 2015, Wild Bill, and Lawrence Elk brought home bronze medals from the competition, which featured 6,960 entries from 35 states. This brings our total to 971 awards since we began entering competitions in 2001.
