During the 2021 Governor’s Conference on Tourism in Pierre, S.D. Prairie Berry Winery and Miner Brewing Company were awarded the Peter Norbeck Excellence in Tourism Innovation Award by Governor Kristi Noem. Rush Mountain Adventure Park also received the award.
First presented at the South Dakota Tourism Association Annual conference in 2013, the Peter Norbeck Excellence in Tourism Innovation Award is awarded to a member of the South Dakota tourism industry for innovative marketing, special promotions, or improvements to their business or attraction that elevates the visitor experience and catches the attention of the visitor industry.
“Both of these businesses have grown into incredible tourism attractions in South Dakota, all while providing top-notch customer service and new and varied experiences for visitors of all ages to enjoy,” said Governor Kristi Noem.
