Perfect for cooling off on sweltering days, our Black Currant Sangria features our semi-sweet Lawrence Elk wine steeped with fresh citrus.
Makes 6-8 servings.
- 1 bottle Lawrence Elk wine
- 2 cups orange juice
- 1/2 cup simple syrup
- Sliced limes, lemons, and oranges
- Additional fresh fruit for garnish
- Orange zest
Mix the first four ingredients and chill for a few hours.
Dip the rim of a wine glass in orange or lemon juice, then in orange zest and sugar. Add ice, fresh fruit, sangria, and additional simple syrup (to taste).

Mix equal parts sugar and water and boil until sugar dissolves. Allow to cool, then refrigerate.
